Project Description:

Downtown:

All funds have been dispersed for the four residential Downtown Housing projects. These include First Street Lofts, Mayo Hotel, Mayo Building, and the Detroit Lofts. The First Street Lofts project holds 19 lofts and has a roof-top green area. The Detroit Lofts holds 16 units. Both phases of the Downtown Centennial Walk are complete, including the Centennial Walk and the H.A. Chapman Centennial Green with its amphitheater, fountain, benches and artwork. 

Phase II, improvements of Main Street between 6th and 7th, included new sidewalks, paving, traffic lights and trees. The project was completed in December 2012. Wheelchair ramp construction began late December 2015. The intersection of East 5th and South Cincinnati Avenue is complete as well as 7th & Main.

The Bartlett Square Fountain was completed in March, and a dedication ceremony was held April 23, 2014.

 

 

 

Neighborhoods:

Neighborhood improvement projects are in three phases, totaling 111 projects. All are complete as of March 2016. Projects vary from entry signs and landscaping to pool and fence improvements.
