BOK Center
Status: COMPLETE
Project Description:
The sleek, urban structure of the BOK Center has made it a downtown landmark. Even at night it catches the eye as the exterior lighting changes color. The 565,000-square-foot arena has drawn big-name artists and sports events since its opening in August 2008. With tickets selling-out within hours for many events – 19,199 seats – the BOK Center proves to be a project Tulsans were ready for from the day it opened.
The interior makes its own statement with stunning artwork. The main concourse has mother-of-pearl aggregate terrazzo flooring with 22-foot medallion inlays. A 30-foot-long cloud-like cloth structure is suspended from above. Other attractions include a sculpture and series of paintings
Thirty-seven suites are available, each holding 12-15 seats. The arena seating can be tailored to suit a variety of events with the following available seating:
Maximum seating: 19,199
Basketball: 17,839
Center Stage: 19,199
End Stage: 12,753
Reduced House: 11,090
The BOK Center functions as a multipurpose, state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue. In addition, this arena is an essential component of Tulsa’s downtown revitalization strategy. It provides Tulsa with a more attractive entertainment venue for conventions, trade shows, concerts, and religious, sports and other large events, creating hundreds of new jobs for Tulsans
