Background:
The BOK Center and Convention Center Renovation secured Tulsa as a strong competitor for hosting large events. A short walk from each other, the two centers compose a convenient business/entertainment campus with convenient access to Interstate 244. They are key components in stimulating the surrounding areas and encouraging private investment for downtown revitalization.
BOK Center:
The BOK Center with its attention-grabbing design is an attractive location to house large-scale sports and entertainment events. With its curved glass and stainless steel façade, a signature style of its world-famous architect, Cesar Pelli, the BOK Center will become an indelible icon. The audiences it draws locally and even out of state are of the magnitude to greatly feed the Tulsa economy. The venue continues to set records, win awards and provide a return on the investment in the form of increased local revenues and a growing reserve fund dedicated to future improvements.
Tulsa Regional Convention Center:
The modernized Convention Center makes Tulsa a very worthy convention candidate for Tier II city venues. Its ballroom is the largest in Oklahoma at 30,000 square feet, with a table seating capacity of 1500. The expansion was designed to accommodate a variety of functions from trade shows to proms. The ballroom area is flexible space that can provide exhibition space alongside banquet facilities, or be divided into smaller ballrooms and meeting rooms.
