This artwork commemorates the Red Fork oil discovery on land allotted in Indian Territory to Sue Bland. The 9-foot mosaic is full of scenes depicting how the oil business helped build the local economy and transportation system during the early growth of Route 66. The sculpture, entitled Floating Hanger, was formally dedicated March 25, 2016, at its site near the Route 66 Gateway Plaza at 4259 S. Southwest Blvd. in West Tulsa.
