The Tulsa Herd

The Herd at LaFortune Park, a joint project with NatureWorks, will be a larger-than-life representation of an entire Bison herd. Tulsa County provided the location with fencing, professional landscaping, paving, lighting and benches. The Vision 2025 portion of the project is complete.

NatureWorks creates the bronze representations of the herd that includes bison of all sizes — calves, yearlings, heifers and bulls. The first family of four sculptures, created by Stephen LeBlanc, was installed in 2023. The second installation of four is scheduled for June 2024, and the third family in the fall. The goal is to have at least 40 bronzes, produced as fundraising provides.
